In my parallel universe...
30-day Arashi Challenge
day 20 - Whatever tickles your fancy
This begs the question:
"What if I never knew of Arashi?"
Rainbows would be mere bowers of color in the sky.
I would've finished - or at least kept up to date with - LOST, Supernatural, Smallville, and Gossip Girl.
My wardrobe would be mostly blacks and blues.
My most commonly used programs on my computer would be MS Word, MS Excel, and Windows Media Player for videos.
The bulk of my fandom-related expenses would be DVDs and CDs.
I'd probably own a Jonas Brothers CD.
I would take one look at a fish and the first thing that will come to mind is "FRY OR GRILL?".
One wall in our den would be devoid of an Ohno and, in its place, would probably be a family portrait. LMAO.
I'd probably be a huge Super Junior fan.
My "magazine shelf" would be filled with COSMOPOLITAN mags.
I'd still be of the mind-set that men shouldn't have longer hair than girls.
My Twitter feed won't be as fun and funny as it is everytime I open it.
My Japanese vocab would not extend beyond Oishi and Ohayou.
My wallpaper would be one of Bryce Larkin. (damnthatwassorandom)
....
I won't have this LJ. And I wouldn't have 'met' YOU.

i wouldnt randomly say perffect body or know that no skull meant, "keep that head away from me'
and fish would gross me out instead of wondering to myself how someone can spend 26hrs at a time on a boat trying to catch them...
i doubt if i'd even have a japanese vocab...
okay this parallel universe depresses me - never have i been so happy to go back to real life! :)

LOL. You randomly say Perfect body, huh? XDD My own random phrase is "UWAH", for some reason. coz it works in sooo many situations. :)

And if I did not know Arashi I would still have that idol bias.

I know what you mean!!^^ xD I would probably be spending my money on The Office DVD (love this show) , would spending my weekends basically watching the re-runs from tv shows, and definitely I would not be studying japanese! My family background is from japan, and they say thank god you like arashi!! because back then, I didn't have much interest in japanese culture! I was more Brazilian. Ow and one more thing!I would still have my desire to go study in USA, but right now all I wanna go is to Japan!!^^
Loved your post!!^^ It really makes you wonder ne?~~
But thank god we got to bring Arashi in our lives!!!^^

My splurging would probably be on Smallville, but... as things turned out, I fell off the SV fandom years ago.
I am just glad my curiosity was at its peak and I looked them up further. :)

I mentioned you in my post if you don't mind!? well if you do don't worry that I will remove right away!! just say it!!! Thankss!!

I would never learn Japanese.
I would never learn how to appreciate boys, I would forever be a Harry Potter fanatic and a fan of Daniel Radcliffe. My life would never be this exciting...

why do I find myself nodding to most of those you mentioned? except for the jonas brother part and super junior part *grimaces*. I think I passed the age for the former and never would have heard of them if not for this fandom on the latter.
I am amazed how knowing these boys and joining this fandom has made me internalize the changes it made in my life... LOL....knowing their existence had me cackling despite of my hectic scheds...

Odd, but Arashi is kinda the bright spot in a bleak world marred by RL and hectic scheds, at least for me...

exactly my dear, that's what I was saying...

if you never knew Arashi?
"you'd probably have finished your Master degree"
XDDD~

NO FAIRRRRR~!!!!
Actually, I'd probably be in Law School, looking for an opportunity to argue with someone every chance I get. Rainbows calmed me. *sigh*

I would be much richer.
I wouldn't appreciate girly guys, bad perms, bad singing, etc...
And I wouldn't be into anything Japanese.

Come to think of it, I'd probably have more money saved myself.

.this question drove me crazy. if i didn't know arashi i wonder what i would have done with my time. ^.^
.and i wouldn't be able to see arashi love-love moments. O.o *scared*

Really, they brought so many wonderful things that I wouldn't trade it for anything. Can't say I really relate to your list (my past obsessions intertwine a bit with my Arashi interests >.>), but the last sentence... I met so much kindness, love, and flail, it's almost sick. ♥ *should make one too*

DOEEEETTTT~!!!

Then God bless Arashi.

- i wouldnt hv install or even know what keyhole is
- my tax return wouldnt be as much as i wont be able to claim for magazine purchases..
- i would probably be able to sleep soundly and not in anxiousness whenever my broadband connection fails..
- i can start work at 9am sharp instead of spending 1hour checking on lj updates and new clips
- i might not care so much about my diet and not care about having tuck in boots jean look..
- i probably DO keep up with the kardashians..and actually know which brands of clothing that suri cruise is wearing and people.com will be my actual LJ
- and boardgames will look like some lame old game to me.. and hey
ALL OF YOUR POST ABOVE!!!
arashi SAIKO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LMAO at Suri's wardrobe. XDDD
no subject
...and laughed myself to death because of it XD
I'll probably be richer too hahaha and.. might still be buried in dark rainbow-less abyss of endless negative thoughts.
WE ALL NEED RAINBOW SPARKLES IN LIFE \0/
So glad we do!! :D

I often wonder about this. I'm pretty sure I would have been caught up in the Kpop world had I not known Arashi. Would I have gone to that SuJu concert here? Would I have been glued to the TV rewatching Gossip Girl, Big Bang Theory, Scrubs, and Disney Channel? Harry Potter would have been my main fandom still and God knows there's almost nothing new except for the theme park.
The most I would have known about Japan would be sushi and sashimi. My Jpop knowledge would probably be limited to Utada Hikaru, Ayumi Hamasaki and Samurai X theme songs.
I WOULD HAVE WATCHED BOYS OVER FLOWERS KOREAN VERSION.
Honestly, I started being more happy and more at ease when I found out about the five boys. It may sound weird to others, but they really influence life in some way, in different ways in different people. It's a whole other world, aside from your family and friends. But it's the same thing, when you talk about something that makes you happy. And who says you can't find friends in the internet? HELLO. <3
I <3 this entry ate. (and also, UWAH and EHHH?! have been my expression since I knew of its existence too. XDDD)

Right, right, right? I don't remember being this... involved with any fandom/group before. EVER. And I am just glad I 'discovered' them. :)

For me, if I didn't know Arashi...
- I wouldn't have met many great people I know in the fandom...*wink*
- I wouldn't have pick up writing again.. I stopped when I started working..but when started reading Arashi fanfics, it makes me want to start writing again...allthough I'm getting rusty..but hey..at least I tried, right?
- my credit card will be limited to err...no usage at all..haha..
- my interest would probably be in Bollywood and Korean movies..I still watch them sometimes..but nowadays it's hard to find good Bollywood movies..and Korean dramas are too long for short-attention span..haha..more than 10 ep is too long for me..and that's why i don't watch Boys Over Flowers..
- I guess my life would be quite dull...because one of my dreams is to go to an Arashi concert, I have a passport made...and now I've travelled to Singapore and South Korea..next stop...Tokyo..huhu..*gotta start saving from now*
-I can accept that fail can also be hilarious and cute..lol..
- and I'm more open-minded now....hey..that's what you'll become after 3 years of sparkling rainbow theraphy,ne..lol..
