What if... again.

Strike three.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SUZ!!!!

Glad to have made your 'acquaintance'. You've no idea what you've gotten yourself into, and I do mean that in a good way. XD Most importantly, HAVE FUN.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[livejournal.com profile] loissama  asked me this previously, and I thought, AGAIN, just for kicks....
What if you can attend a movie premiere (NOT ARASHI-RELATED. *snickers*), what movie would it be? It could be an already-made film, or an imagined one.
Mine?
I'm not a hard-core Star Wars fanatic, but I'd like to attend a Star Wars movie premiere, just to get the feel of it, to experience lining up DAYS before the actual premiere outside on the streets, surrounded by people in Darth Vader costumes wielding light sabers....
Or on Pirates of the Caribbean 4+, just to see Johnny Depp.
Or on THE HOBBIT, just to see PJ, Philippa Boyens, Fran Walsh, the guys at WETA Digital, Viggo and the Fellowship of the Ring. OK, they might NOT star in it, but one of them's bound to attend. XD
[identity profile] becky-49.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 01:18 pm (UTC)(link)
What a fitting question. I just attended the Canadian premiere of Yatterman last night.
I'm not a big fan of movies in general, but if I have to pick, I'll go to a Harry Potter premiere, just because I like the series.
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
How was it?!
HP, huh. That seems to be a favorite. Some peeps of mine from here thought I was gonna pick Twilight and I gave them "the look".
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 04:45 pm (UTC)(link)
no, no. I couldn't give you "the look". :) I was referring to a friend and colleague James and Lala, when I asked them the question and they asked me back. :)
[identity profile] loissama.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Fufufu...I thought it was me. :)
[identity profile] becky-49.livejournal.com 2009-07-11 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
It was great. The theatre was packed and the audience response was amazing. Producer Chiba introduced the movie dressed in Sho's Yatterman costume and he was hillarious. Miike made a video for Canadian fans since he couldn't be there. I won't spoil the movie, but it was really good and there were quite a few jokes in parts of the movies you wouldn't expect.
Oh, Twilight. I'm suprised you didn't pick that now that you mentioned it. I thought you love vampire movies.
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-11 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
Damn. How I wish that film would actually be released here, but I doubt it.
I... do love vampire stories... I guess I was just influenced by the book because I read it first and got sorta disappointed with all three, that kinda dulled it for me. I did enjoy the movie, though. I shouldn't have read the books FIRST.
[identity profile] lianne29.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 01:48 pm (UTC)(link)
a choice between:
1. the next Pirates movie -- same reason as yours, I want to meet Johnny Depp
2. HP and the Deathly Hallows -- JK Rowling is also on my "famous people I want to meet" list
3. Any Pixar movie (maybe Toy Story 3)-- those guys know how to tell stories :D
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Johnny's sexxeeeee....
Ah, the final film. That ought to be something too. Swan songs are always noteworthy.
...would it kill me to admit that I haven't seen any of the Toy Story films? LOL.
[identity profile] all4cyanide.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Damn...you took my PotC...I dunn wanna say the same thing. I'm going to go with Harry Potter. ZOMG. How fun would that be? I'd totally be geeking and might even cosplay for the hell of it. ^^
A premiere for an animated Disney movie would be on my list too...I mean who doesn't enjoy those movies? It'd be like a kid's dream come true. I would have loved to go to the Little Mermaid's premiere....if I wasn't 2 when it cmae out. XDDD
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL. It's wrong to pick the same thing? My reason is shallow, though. Yours might have more substance to it.
What would you cosplay as?
Aahhh... I miss that era. Sure, 3D animation's ubercool but sometimes, I find greater joy in going back to the classic Disney animations where they break into song in all their 2-dimensional glory. :)
[identity profile] all4cyanide.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Naw...I'd want to go to a PotC premiere for the same reasons as you. Johnny Depp. All the reason to be shallow in the world.
I would cosplay as a Ravenclaw most likely. I remember when the first movie came out, the website had a house placing system and I always got Ravenclaw. I'd look good in the blue and silver! <3333
Classic Disney is ALWAYS the best. The 3D is neat to watch and be in awe of technology and the storylines are pretty good, but nothing can top a good 2D animated feature. What is your favorite Disney movie anyway? Mine is the Little Mermaid, of course.
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 05:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I thought you'd pick something other than the Hogwarts uniforms. :)
I wasn't really a girl growing up, so... LOL. I haven't seen them all, or even if I had, I don't think my memory works that well. I do clearly remember Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid, though. I'd have to go for the latter.
Maybe I should go hunt the shops for the DVDs of those other ones. Hmm.
[identity profile] zashikibuts.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 03:28 pm (UTC)(link)
any leo dicaprio or julia roberts movie for me...
oh i remember Mars Attack... even though that movie was almost nonsense, but i'd like to attend its premier, coz it would really be interesting to see all the stars in that movie in one place - Jack Nicholson, Annette Bening, Pierce Brosnan, Sarah Jessica Parker, Glenn Close, Michael J. Fox, Jack Black, Natalie Portman and Danny DeVito.
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I miss Leo. So damn much.
My constant Leo-film-once-a-month DVD date is proof of that.
Oh, yeah, that film was a powerhouse!
Ocean's 11, 12, 13... or 14 (if they make one) would be quite fun, too, just to see all those megawattage overpaid stars together. :)
[identity profile] juninodaisuki.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Anything Johnny Depp for me. That's carved in the stone.
I really want to go to Alice in Wonderland's premiere! but Pirates of the Caribbean 4 would be even better! LOL. xD
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
There's an Alice film? How out-of-the-loop am I!
[identity profile] juninodaisuki.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
YES! but it's still in production and it's scheduled for 2010.
...and Depp is the Mad Hatter! ZOMG. There're Anne Hathaway and Alan Rickman as well. Ughhh.
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)
OHYES! Now I REMEMBER hearing about Johnny being the Mad Hatter! I just... failed to connect the dots. Sheesh.
Alan Rickman's a genius. Seriously.
[identity profile] juninodaisuki.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Alan Rickman's a genius. Seriously. SECONDED.
Not only as Snape, of course. Love Actually, Perfume, Sweeney Todd, you name it!
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 05:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I loved him in Love Actually. He can do sinister and lovable beautifully and that alone won me over.
[identity profile] juninodaisuki.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Brick me, but I watched Love Actually AFTER I watch HP. So I was kinda startled watching him in a whole different image from Snape. LOL. but still, he rocked it. xD
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I had a hard time believing they're the same Alan Rickman. XD
[identity profile] akugami.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably The Hobbit just cos the Lord of the Rings are my all time favourite films so I would really like to meet peter, fran and philippa and any of the rings cast that may have been invited!
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Yesssss, the three writers are a dream for me to meet. I just wanna breathe the same air they do. LOL!
[identity profile] itsmysunshine.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Definitely anything from LOTR series xDDD, just because that's my all time fave besides Harry Potter, lol.
Another one.. would be Pixar's xD. Oh, or the next Transformers?
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
You know what I dream of? A film adaptation of Tolkien's Silmarilion book, featuring Beren and Luthien, the human and elven princess who set the precedent for Aragorn and Arwen. Maaaaaaaannnn, I wonder if they'd ever adapt that to film.
Oooh! I wanna see Shia. LOL!
[identity profile] choco-disco.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
...no Twilight?
If it was Arashi-related I'd so choose HanaDan over Iwo Jima XD
Probably POTC just for Johnny Depp♥ Or Tokyo Drift for Kitagawa Keiko *_*<3
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd watch the film, but not really THAT interested.
Tokyo Drift for the cars. LOL.
[identity profile] sunnydreams416.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Harry Potter for me! I'm such a nerd, I've gone to all the midnight showings since the third movie came out, and I was sooo close to attending the London premiere of the fifth movie; my flight flew out morning of because I had to be back in time to be in a wedding ^^
ooo PotC 4 would also be fun to go to, definitely for Johnny Depp!
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
There're still 2 movies, so who knows, you might get the chance this time. Just...let everyone you know not to have their weddings close to the release dates. XDDDD
[identity profile] sunnydreams416.livejournal.com 2009-07-11 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
lol I was actually planning to return home a month later than I did so I could do more traveling once school ended BUT my best friend called me about 3 months before and asked me to be part of the bridal party... I couldn't say no!! No one seems to have plans to get married anytime soon soo... (^_^)
Movie-what if
[identity profile] khinkhun14789.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I would go with an imagined one since the current movies I have already attended (the one I'm interested in anyway XD)
I'd go with one involving Shawn Spencer (Psych) since the 45 mins ep I get on USA (a US channel) are not enough for me, I want him to have a big case, big movie, ^_______^ and awesome lines XDDD
Re: Movie-what if
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Psych the movie? LOL.
I doubt they'd give him a similar film character... maybe he wants to try something else...but who knows.
Re: Movie-what if
[identity profile] khinkhun14789.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
^__________^ For now, (beside Ohno) I like his acting a lot ^____________^ So a movie with him starring would probably interested me ^_^
[identity profile] nana-komatsu7.livejournal.com 2009-07-10 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
a movie with my beloved Ewan McGregor is my first choice.
The Hobbit is a good idea too :D
And also something with Okada Junichi in it *_*
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-11 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
oooohhhhh! Me likey Ewan, too! :)
[identity profile] nana-komatsu7.livejournal.com 2009-07-11 10:39 am (UTC)(link)
*lacks of Ewan's icons and feel ashamed because of this*
He was my absolute Ichiban for years until Jun arrived in my life ♥
[identity profile] bon456.livejournal.com 2009-07-11 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
Ditto, I would have picked the same ones.
Johnny Depp a must
Others I might like are
Independance Day; Love Will Smith.
Oceans Eleven Old and New. Can't even imagine how I would behave, eye candy everywhere.
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-11 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
Yep. Ocean's 11, 12, 13... :) Good for, and easy on, the eyes.
I liked Will Smith circa ID4... the recent ones, not so much. I can't explain why.
[identity profile] nicko.livejournal.com 2009-07-11 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
Oh wow a happy birthday xD! Thanks very much!
To be honest this week has been ridiculous though. For a start I had three job interviews in one week, came down with a horrible cold on Wednesday which is still lingering and today got sunburnt. Plus I couldn't book my dentist appointment until tomorrow, so first on the birthday schedule is an early filling, oh joy xD
Still, I managed to land one of the jobs I was interviewed for, I've got beer full of fridge waiting (haven't started them yet, honest) and plus the boyfriend has booked me tickets to see Monty Python tomorrow figuring I was British and would be into that sort of thing (he wasn't far wrong). So all in all its looking up for the weekend :D
On top of that I've finished another HnA episode which is encoding as I type. I'll hopefully send you that by tomorrow :D
As for the question, well it would have to be a Tim Burton film so I could meet him and Johnny Depp at the same time. I'm a big fan of all their co-operative works. Either that or like you say, something with a very unique atmosphere and people in silly costumes :)
It makes me wonder how the Darth Vader's would see the movie at all to be honest. Then again I suppose it isn't all that important when you're actually in it?
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-11 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
Wow, that's.... quite a way to celebrate your birthday.
The upside, though, is now you've got at least one thing in common with riida... the sunburnt bit.XD Hope you got over the cold, though. To add a dentist appointment to that is just... whoa. :)
But yay for the job!! Congratulations~ and that fridge full of beer... you thinking of finishing that by yourself? LOL. But Monty Python is goooood. I wouldn't mind getting an eyeful again myself. :)
You're ridiculously fast, considering what a week you've had. Should I commend your time management skills, or you're just crazy speedy?
Johnny Depp seems to be a majority choice. Haha!
I think those that go so far as to wear the costumes, most of them already have gone beyond the movie-fan and became too fanatic to actually care about the film itself. Normally I'd criticize that and find it pathetic, but considering how obsessive I've become lately with my own fandoms, I'd just be digging my own grave. :)
[identity profile] nicko.livejournal.com 2009-07-11 11:11 am (UTC)(link)
No not at all!
Well I guess it would be slightly contradictive but still...it's not you like you'd go to an Ohno concert dressed like a giant seabass right xD?
Right...?
But yes Johnny Depp is always a good choice I find x3
If you should commend anything at all let it be my level of procrastination that's kept me at the computer instead of in the books xD...
And not all of it, I've had some tonight but I think I'll save myself for tomorrow now xD
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-11 11:33 am (UTC)(link)
If THAT would catch Ohno's attention and make him look at me longer than 10 seconds, then a giant seabass I shall go as!!!
I'd even have a giant lure made to match. Tee-hee.
[identity profile] xxjosumsxx.livejournal.com 2009-07-11 08:00 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm... it would probably be 300. lol That movie was so awesome i would totally want to be at the premiere
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-11 11:35 am (UTC)(link)
I... haven't seen that film yet.... shame on me.
But Gerard Butler... oohyeah.
[identity profile] xxjosumsxx.livejournal.com 2009-07-12 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
You haven't?! Its a pretty good movie but lots of blood but i usually don't like bloody war movies but 300 was really exciting. lol I was on the edge of my seat, and yes Gerard Butler is too good looking in the movie :)
perfectlyimperfect: (Oh-chan!)
[personal profile] perfectlyimperfect 2009-07-11 09:44 am (UTC)(link)
OMG woman I haven't talked to you in a while. I didn't know you were already watching House?!
And I'm loving your layout. :3
*cough* Re: your random question, I'm not a big film buff myself but any movie with Johnny Depp in it. (I would've sounded more original if you didn't say it first. LOL I kid, I kid.) I mean, it would totally be awesome seeing him be nice to his fans, like in a real-life perspective. :) I've always been curious about that, esp since he's not the Hollywood-ish type.
[identity profile] dvampyrlestat.livejournal.com 2009-07-11 11:37 am (UTC)(link)
I just started, actually. Finally pushed by my friend. I'm two eps left in Season 1, will proceed to Season 2 next. :) Now I have maximum of three hours sleep every night. *sigh*
True, true. He's kinda aloof, which is part of his charm and mystery. :)
....looks like Johnny Depp's a runaway choice for the actor-to-see. lol.
