Good heavens!!! What's with August?! And this many people on my flist being August babies?

Lolz. No, that wasn't a complaint.



Drama talk.

Come on. Admit it.

Pi was never really known for his acting skills. IMO, he just got lucky that the roles given to him were seemingly written with him in mind. And he has these tics, these mannerisms, that bother me when he acts.

Code Blue 1 to 6.

I've seen better medical dramas than this. Iryu, anyone? 

One of my deals about this was...the four leads looked too awfully young to be doctors. They look more like med students. Freshman or sophomore.

I do like the medical cases tackled, though, because they get to delve into the inner psyche of the patients rather than simply writing them off as people in dire need.

And I like that the medical profession is not glorified in this one. Glorified as in 'made out to be a real noble profession'. Some doctors have grown to accustomed to death to even care about it anymore. Others simply care about having the opportunity to cut someone open. Aizawa wants to be the best. Period.

These are not self-righteous individuals who do this solely so they can save lives. 

I want more from Aragaki Yui. Toda Erika is pretty good. I'd say she's the stronger actor. She irritates me, but when she loses her footing, I feel like I am there with her. And when she's mad, and angry, or frustrated, I believe her.

NOW.

I did say Pi made me cry, right? Ep 6 has got to be my favorite episode so far. (if they can beat it on the next eps, kudos to them). I can only imagine how painful it would be to have the only person you consider as your family wake up and ask you, "WHO ARE YOU?"

I'm simply sniffing away.

I'm quite late on this one. *blames a lot of things* Only finished until ep8 right now, and ental has released the subs for the whole series, too. *sigh*

More than 5 episodes in, and THINGS ARE STARTING TO GET MOVING.




I don't know her name, but I think I've seen her in 1 Million Roses...Not that I've watched that drama, I just said I saw her there.

My complaint? How much longer will he have to really suffer and be crushed before he'd pick up his guns (figuratively, no guns in that period yet) and fight back? I mean....it took this long!



Geom arrives at his now-realized sister's public hanging. He had a plan. When the noose tightens around her neck, the rope will break (he rigged it). With his eyes, he begs her to have faith as he, her younger brother, will save her.



She sees her brother, but she won't give him away. She was just happy to have found him.

And the other (unknowing) brother looks on.



But the rigged rope didn't perform as planned. And...you know what happens next.



You know what breaks my heart, though? The fact that he can't properly mourn for his long-gone father, and his now-dead sister. It's like, just cry, then wipe the tears and act uncaring and nonchalant in front of everyone else. Yes, even before the two people who raised you as their son.

And ironic how the lives of these two men will now take a permanent turn, both caused by the death of one woman. And one of them has no idea she was his sister.

I am so looking forward to finishing this. Little, by little.

You can cut the hospital scene - from the moment Naoto enters, until Ryou tells him off to stay away from his sister - and you have enough material (depth and weight) for an entire episode.





I kept thinking....Naoto should be a bit intuitive. I mean, to elicit THIS kind of reaction for simply showing up? There must be something there, right?

But then again, he is known to lose focus.





Shock, hopelessness, fear...guilt. Too many emotions, piled into one look. Yuuka was a revelation in this scene.

Where else has she acted before?



I love this shot of Naoto. He just left the lions' company, so to speak. He should be enlightened, and the light is on him, it's begging him to "LOOK! It's right beside you! The truth screams right close to you! LOOK!"





Me shipping Yuuka and Ohno back then almost qualifies as incest. Lolz.

I gotta admit, though, that the Ohno-Yuuka shipping was just fleeting. Cuz of Ryoko.



The tears are for...guilt over having lied to her. Self-hatred for using her? Probably. I doubt he really intended to use her in his Grand Plan. If he did, he would have done so long before, and would have broadcasted how he has to care for a blind and terminally ill sister. That would've added more points to his image as the Angelic Lawyer.

I think he really meant to take care of her until the end, keeping the pretense that he was her dear younger brother. And this is what Makiko recognized, IMO.

I don't think she's twisted for still having faith in him, or for tagging along in the long pretense. For someone in her state, hope rarely comes by, and she was given hope, so she latched on to it, blindly. Literally and figuratively.





This is the first time Naoto witnessed Naruse-sensei lose his cool. 




For someone as famous (and moneyed) ad Naruse-sensei, his secretaries have no flair for celebrations. Or maybe they just knew Naruse wasn't the party type. LOLZ.

You can see the surprise, then the pleasant surpise on his face when he saw Shiori. Ah. He's such a little boy.




"Can't I be your angel?"

You know...in some cases, I'd say that line is totally cheesy. But I gotta say, Ryoko WORKED IT.



A hug! Ahug!!!!

And I squealed.

Now all we need is for a kiss scene. Then Ohno and Sho can go right ahead on a lengthy discussion on kissing scenes. Sho will win the discussion, not becuase he makes good points (because he won't) but simply because he can outtalk Ohno any time.

OMG. This post totally is about....tears???

Got my truth/Kaze no Mukou e LE today! Yay!
Damn. It's so hot my fingers were scalded when I took it out of its box.

*sniff* I'm getting the RE of the cd. No hotness for me. I ordered RE on purpose, but I didn't think the difference in covers would be THAT big. Le sigh.

And if it's in the script, Ohno would provide an awesome kiss scene. I wanna see him oust MatsuJun in a discussion about who makes the better kisser. (But Sho would STILL win that discussion XD)

And I pride myself for not giving in and getting the other LE. haha! I have restraint after all.

YES! I want an Ohno kissing scene! I'd picture a Naruse Ryou kiss to be somewhat contained, but still passionate. Quite like the man himself.

And YES, SHO would still win that discussion. Using Kisarazu Cat's Eye as an example. Even against MatsuJun's THREE HYD turns. Or (hopefully) Ohno's intense Maou one. :)

when i watched the raw one, i cried....that ending was so sad...and poor aizawa, like now he doesn't have anyone to lean to, but from his personalities, he doesn't need someone, he can take care of himself...

who is ryoko??? i love ohno&yuuka!! i think tomoo wants to be her younger brother so she doesn't feel lost or something....

I think the old woman did a very good job too. You can feel Aizawa's pain in his sadness, even as he tries to act all tough and businesslike. :)

True, he doesn't need someone to survive, but I think he still needs someone to be there for him...not necessarily do things for him, but just be there....just like his grandma does now. If only she remembered.

Ryoko. Kobayashi Ryoko! Shiori!!! lolz. I just like her innocence when beside Ohno. heheeeeeh...

obaa-chan really loves aizawa but between cases he still put cases no 1. i hope things get better soon and obaa-chan recognize him again...and aizawa, wake up!! you're grandma needs you!!

oh, yes! i forgot her real name. i've never seen her in other drama than maou so i don't really know how to compare but i think she's doing a good job for her character in this drama.

i'm not a big Yamapi fan, or of any of CB actors, but I have always had a thing for medical dramas so....:)

My sentiment exactly, it's how he moves his mouth way too much and his eyes are pretty much dead *sigh* Akira remains my fave character from him and he marvels at every crying scene in Kurosagi xD

Code Blue is trying to hard to be Japan!Grey!Anatomy. The only thing that CB lacking is the sexing!up in random hospital elevator, surgery room, waiting rooom etc xD

And dead eyes. Lolz. I guess that explains the hair. And its fringes doing a good job covering them.

I'd prefer him in comedy roles. Nobuta, for example. Act like a retard. He'd pull that off. :)

Cristina -- > Aizawa (smart, tough-as-nails, very competitive)
Izzy -- > Hiyama (uses good looks, ambitious, relegated to some clerical work)
Meredith -- > Shiraishi (intelligent...theoretical....and bloodline includes genius medical parents)
George --> Fujikawa (geeky. although...George has more skills)

I doubt the audiences would look kindly on Aizawa sleeping with the nurse in an empty operating theater. lolz!

As much as I like YamaPi, I don't understand why he has so many fans. (I remember my friend said he's TOO overrated, and she's a Kame fan. LOL) Then again, I really loved him in Nobuta and Kurosagi. :P

MAOU! So a tearjerker. And I thought it's all about revenge and killing. I'd still love a future Ohno/Yuuka project or something. They work well together. ^___^ And the hug! I guess "Can't I be your angel?" worked because she didn't say it right away or bluntly. And because she said that an angel helps others (or something like that). Shiori's forever my idol. LOL. And it's about time Naoto realize that Tomoo might be alive.

In a sense, I also think Pi is overrated. But I gotta admit he does have charisma. And not too bad on the eyes. Not really a very good actor, but as compared to others *cough*Jin*cough*, he's better.

Yes! Her delivery made it work. And she sounded like she really meant it, combine that with her innocence, and those imploring eyes.....*melts*

I also would love to see Ohno and Yuuka work together again in another project. Although I am not averse to another Ohno-Kobayashi pairing, just to see how these two will mature as coworkers. :)

For Code Blue....think Japan's Grey's Anatomy. Interns. Competitive interns. Minus the couplings and sex. Plus a helicopter as their major aim.

It's worth a look, though, if only to check out the patients.

AND IRYU!!! Check that out! Both seasons! Iryu I and Iryu II! Add that to your list. :)

MAOU HAD ME IN TEARS. So glad I don't watch it in the living room with my parents in there otherwise they'd be thinking I'm a weirdo again for crying at my laptop ^^;

I loved this episode if only coz it gave Ohno a chance to show so many different emotions. Shiori is definitely improving with each episode, but coz I watched the Korean (I'm a spoiler whore, I know), the relationships in the Japanese one sorta bug me, though it's completely understandable considering the time constraints. Still! Need to go dl episode 8! Hope it's just as good~ *runs off*

I think my parents are already used to me having all sorts of reactions while watching something in the comfort of my headphones. LOLZ. They no longer react much.

I call this ep the Ohno showcase. :) All sorts of possible emotions one can show was on this ep. And he did beautifully. I'm so proud of him. Aren't we proud of him???? If I were a filmmaker, or a writer, or a casting director, this ep alone would be enough to convince me to cast this gem of an actor in yet another project!!

It might also just be that Koreans have different approaches towards romantic relationships. Shiori's cute though. Schoolgirl crush meeting a woman's love. :P

Episode 8!!! Another GREAT (and painful) ONE! Good luck working on it. :) I spazzed almost the whole time on Ep7. Tee-hee!!!!

i know it's random and i'm soo late.. but i've just finished watching Maou last weekend.. i usually wait till the whole series is over before start watching >_____< and Riida's acting in the Ep. #7 totally blown me away.. the chemistry between Naruse Ryo and the onee-san was awesome.. this ep and the finale are the best (T-T) both Riida and Toma-chan did a great job.. now i gotta start watching Code Blue..

Better late than never, dear. :) And Maou never gets old (just like Ohno. XDD) I agree. Ep7, the scenes with his sister is one of the highlights of the series (and Ohno's shining moment).

...to be honest, i haven't properly sat down and watched the last ep of Code Blue. I just...breezed through it. You just reminded me to properly watch it. XDDD
