I'm hypoglycemic.

Right. That's what my glucose (blood sugar) test indicate. 72 mg/dL. Normally it should be 90 mg/dL, but I'm way below that.

Reasons they enumerated:
Medications - I do have meds for my migraine....
Alcohol - I never drink.
Meals or snacks that are too small, delayed, or skipped - Guilty. I usually skip lunch (I sleep. lolz)
Increased activity or exercise - I like to move. SO WHAT?!
Lack of Sleep - I'm somewhat insomniac. Which explains the sleep-during-lunch.
Lack of carbohydrates intake - WHAT THE?! Carbo are like the main triggers for my migraine. So I had to stop eating rice (staple food of my country) for a couple of years and only recently getting back to eating rice during breakfast. I have to check that all the bread I eat are made from Wheat or Rye, not just your usual flour. 
What is this...choosing the lesser evil? Hypoglycemia vs. Migraine? Ya kidding me?!

Uhm...it doesn't often happen to me. :) I was checking the symptoms and I saw nervousness or shaking there...or easily hungry. I'm rarely nervous, except for one time I was so unexplainably nervous that I called all my best friends and family just to make sure nothing happened to them. Tee-hee! But the blood sugar thing? I just found out this morning after this test they held at a convention I attended. Phew.

Actually, when the doc saw the reading, he told me, "It's too low. Go eat something."

I haven't eaten since midnight (the test was at 8am) since we were instructed not to ingest anything for 8 hours before the test so the results would be more reliable.

Darn. If only it were that easy to look for JE docs/nurses. XDDD

hi, regarding your hypoglycemic situation, as far as medical field is concern, the normal range of glucose in the blood is 70-110 mg/dl or 80-120 mg/dl... means 70-120mg/dl... so u're not hypo... so if sometimes u're feeling dizzy or weak, just eat some candy or any sugar-related food that will not trigger your migraine... AND taking of your blood sugar test (it's CBG, right?) doesn't literally have to be a "nothing to eat" for 8 hours! only 2 hours is enough... surely, your result will be low... I don't contradict to what your doctor had advised you but if the test is called CBG, then I guess you have to repeat the test... hope that it helps?

haha. I wish that were true. :) The docs told me the normal range is 80-120. I searched in medical sites online, and they say it's 90- 110 . Some say 70-110. So I don't really know.

The not to eat for 8 hours is just normal, I guess, since the 8 hours covered most of the night, so sleeping, so it doesn't really count as skipping a meal or anything. :)

I'm not sure if it was CBG, i don't think so. They called it random glucose test, so mainly testing the glucose only....

I plan to take it again. Just to make sure.

Dang. I'm the healthiest person I know. Except for the migraine attacks, that is. I can outrun, outclimb anyone. Hehehe.

I'm actually starting to laugh this off. Because this is totally the reason why my folks don't like going to tests or doctors, because all of a sudden you find out something is wrong, when you don't feel like there is. :) As I said, I'm the healthiest person I know. ;)

Migraine. My migraine is phenomenal. Before I cut back on carbo, every week, I get migraine attacks. Now it's only once or twice a month. :) And it lasts at least 24 hours. :)

And when it comes to chocolates, I have to choose the dark ones, because the non-dark are also minor triggers of my migraine.

So yes. It is a majot pain in the ass. :)

Bono smells like glory! Hahaha! I don't remember that well... but i remember that after the con my t-shirt smell like Cologne for men and sweat... so that's glory for me...

There so much I want to tell u about that trip ... I'll make a post tomorrow about it, cos today I got to be on a newspaper from Costa Rica because of my picture with Bono... I'll do it tomorrow cos I'm beat (just walk for 6 hours... should make another post about that... i just can't control the rambling... It just comes out and I don't even notice!!!)
